Welcome to the Cookeville History Museum


The Cookeville History Museum provides exhibits, programs and activities that promote the history of Cookeville and Putnam County. The museum houses a self-paced, permanent exhibit on the history of this community, including a timeline around the building that begins with the first people to the area and ends with what is happening today. The front gallery is dedicated to local history exhibits, traveling exhibits and collection displays. Visit the Cookeville History Museum and let us share our story with you!

Cookeville Museums History Hikes are ongoing--2nd Saturday of each month; 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
March 14th: Selfies on the Square;

The March History Hike will take you and your family & friends on a different path! Beginning at the Cookeville History Museum, you'll learn some history about Cookeville's Courthouse Square as you use our historic clues to find the mystery locations on the Square and take your selfies to prove it!
