Madison is called the archectiect of the US constitution...............all 5 pages............the bill of rights i would consider one of the pages..............is on display here in DC in the Archives..........he probably played a major role in drafting and redrafting it.............but he didn't physically pen it...........they employed a scribe to do that..........which was a common thing.........Jesus spoke out about the scribes...........the library of Alex.......in ancient times............they talk about the destruction of scrolls.........b/c before the printing press............by G. in Germany..............they employed people to write out stuff.........copy stuff...........or take dictation...........like a court reporter.................my maternal grandfather survived WW2 b/c he was the only one in his boot camp platoon in Parris Island, SC to know both short hand and how to type..............he also had an associates degree........from somewhere near Ft. Scott, KS i think............he was also 26, married, and had two kids at the time.....................one of them, the 2nd, was my mother.....................................his platoon was involved in the battle of Iwo Jima............and he says that out of the almost 70 men sent there, only 3 survived..........................b/c of his admin skills, he became a court reporter on Parris Island,,,,,,,,,,,then they shipped him to Guam.....................i always like the story he would tell...........of course on Guam, there were many Marines, and offices during WW2...........but in his particular office, there were only 4......................Gen. Geiger............for whom Camp Geiger in Nc is named,,,,,,,,,,,,two other Marine generals................and private Ruddell, my grandfather...................what i liked even more was that he told me he would have his feet up on the desk and be reading a book when Gen Geiger came in the office............i asked him why didn't the general ever say anything to him............he told me he always had all his work done................
