The "fish tails" are the two sets of two points....on the top and bottom that would be where the 6 pointed star intersects the ellipse...........whose tip and bottom are on the Y or imaginary axis........they are the square root of 3 apart.........................u can tell.....that u can make diff type of triangles from the below...........................two 1 unit equilateral triangles.............whose common base is on the X axis...........the two center green points.........1 unit apart............the origin is dead center in the middle of the hex.................that is where i got the hyp of 1.....................
