The Y axis would cut the thing in half..........the top tip and the bottom tip would correspond to where the two unit circles.........centered at (1/2, 0) and (-1/2, 0) interlap to form the an ellipse as Euclid did.......

The star would intersect the ellipse.............at the top and bottom......fishtails......beyond the 3rd d....all smaller triangles are also equilateral......of sides of 1/2..................................the equil. triangles each have sides of 3/2......one and a half....................symetry......
