Would an American create a diversion..........and at the same time..........disable one of our biggest military bases?.........and most imp........home to tons of air craft carriers......they always said that the USSR would come across the North Pole.......closer......and our navy is our main strength.........Russian ships would be sitting ducks in the open ocean.....
