Pro Career:  Went from winning the Heisman Trophy and every All-America award possible to being the biggest gate attraction and most dominant player in the fledgling USFL ... Moved to the NFL where he has been named to two Pro Bowls, led the league in combined net yards (2,051 in 1990) and in total yards from scrimmage (1,606 in 1987) ... Established numerous USFL records with the New Jersey Generals before joining the NFL and rushing for more than 7,900 yards in nine seasons.
 
College: Won the Heisman Trophy in 1982... consensus All-America from 1980-82... established 11 NCAA records, 16 Southeastern Conference records and 41 University of Georgia records in his three years in Athens...rushed for 5,259 yards in his career, an SEC and Georgia record as well as an NCAA mark for most yards in three seasons...ended his Georgia career with the third most rushing yards in NCAA history...established himself immediately with a freshman season that saw him set NCAA marks for most rushing yards by a freshman (1,616 in 1980), most 200-yard games by a freshman (four), average yards per game by a freshman (146.9), most all-purpose yards by a freshman (1,805) and most rushing touchdowns by a freshman (15)...finished third in Heisman balloting as a freshman...named a first team All-America by seven different organizations and publication...totaled an SEC-record 1,891 yards in his second season as well as a conference mark of 171.9 yards per game...ran for more than 100 yards in 11 games as a sophomore, an NCAA record...set an SEC mark with 120 points and 20 touchdowns in sophomore year...ran for 1,616 yards as a junior, establishing an NCAA mark with three seasons of gaining more than 1,500 yards...also set NCAA records for most carries in three seasons (994) and most all-purpose yards in three seasons (5,749)...also competed for Georgia's track and field team, where he was a two-time All-America selection (outdoor 400-meter relay, indoor 60-yard dash) and a member of the SEC champion 400-meter relay in 1981.

UGA threw a party to celebrate Herschel Walker's induction into the College Football Hall of Fame. But will he have the votes to make it to Canton, where all the NFL greats are enshrined? His pro stats say yes, but a chunk of them came in the wrong league...story
