I used the wrong word yesterday................it is translate, not transliterate.............transliterate is only from written to written.............this is spoken to written..........the original is in Mandarin........to sub titles........in English.......................the subtitles have all the supposed Chinese character's names.......as Vietnamese names..........i wonder if that is a mistake in translating or they actually have Vietnamese names in the movie.......i don't speak Mandarin..........

The movie is in Mandarin.........there is no spoken Chinese language.........it is Mandarin or Cantonese...............the writing is usually the same.........as i understand it........but very different spoken.............as in Mandarin..........a northern language..........and Cantonese, a So. language........are very different spoken................wiki has the names Chinese........i don't speak Mandarin..........but how they transliterate the names on youtube.com at least...........the professor's name.......who has a daughter...........his name is Vietnamese..............very odd........
