Aug 13, 2012 - It is about a level walk of 10-15 minutes from there to the main entrance of the National Zoo. From there it is downhill all the way to the big cats. Then you have to walk all the way back uphill to get the Metro. Walking downhill from the zoo entrance to the Woodley Park Metro station is easiest.
