Sgt L......a white guy.............after i told him i did 20 pull ups.............he kept saying........"that is good, u understand"...........i said.........."sir, yes sir........"...........he also told us..........that we would eat better in the field than in the chow hall...........mre's.........meals ready to eat............................he said he was the only senior drill instructor in 3rd battalion..........who was a sgt, not a ssgt...............

I remember someone saying that...................to test my memory........like a year ago.............the comment that we would eat better in the field than in the chow hall..........i was surprised at just how good those meals ready to eat really were........mre's..................3rd phase.........the field...........2nd phase is the rifle range............1st phase is memorizing gen orders........learning marine etiquette, getting tons of shots.........drill, learning to job short distances, the obstacle course.............going on short hikes...........then increasing the distances we would hike and jog...........






I still remember the senior........singling me out in front of the entire boot camp platoon..............after i did 20 pull ups....................he was making an example out of me so the rest would do it.........in fact......until the last pft............i had the best score of any of the 70 men in my platoon...............the other men kinda looked at me odd............b/c i wore glasses and am short and skinny............






I still remember him clearly........he would stop by Gar Field high school and flirt with the girls there........anyways he knew i was going to the beach..........and he told me to send him pics of the women in bikinis on the beach.........or when i was in Parris Island he would tell the drill instructor to harass me......i never sent him a thing.......a SSgt M..................
