It is a confusing rule.......b/c just being in an offside position is not enough to be called offside....u have to ATTEMPT to play the ball............whether or not u actually ever catch up with the thing.....Paul Pogba.....looked to be offside.....he was not behind the 2nd to the last defender....he was in front of everyone except for the goalie.....but the Croatian player was the one who touched it...headed it into the goal.....but i think.....and i may be wrong............an offside call takes precedence..............regardless who scored.....b/c Paul P tried to touch it..........but never did....which does not matter for an offside call.
