The love story was real..........a Spanish princess liked the same British man, (princess Isabella) a military man and medical doctor, they got his name wrong, i think, God showed me the story as it happened in VIRGINIA, our greatest state, Jamestown, my grandmother was from Roanoke, Virginia, Virginia Dare, 1st colony, in now NC, not far from the VA border......Roanoke Island, the whites went to the Croatan tribe...
It IS true, i don't think they have the man's name right, he told Pocahontas that his own subjects did not know he had spiritual power, that he was a prince, but did not wear his crown in what is now Virginia, b/c it didn't belong to England, his parents were King and Queen of England...
They meet in the woods, where he was talking to animals and they were responding, Pocahontas was curious b/c she didn't think the whites possessed that power.........he gave some of his ocean going ships to the locals and gunpowder, taught them European medical science and architecture, the Indians taught them where to find food, and guerilla warfare, he taught them drill, military drill, like the type we did in the Marine Corps, my 3 drill instructors were outstanding, i learned from the best...........there is a school for DI's.....a lot to learn, they fused both cultures and made a powerful fighting force....much like the modern US Marines, we have the best in the world, of ANY fighting force............b/c it is a fusion of mental, spiritual and intellectual, God, country, Corps, in that order, have you priorities set.....John s might or might not be his name, God showed me the scene but as "everyone" knows everything, when they really do NOT....
Pocahontas & John Smith
The Love Story Was Fiction...but Loved
The love story is entirely fiction. When John Smith met Pocahontas, she was 10 or 11 years old. Pocahontas did later marry a colonist, but the colonist was John Rolfe, not John Smith.
Still, the origins and evolution of the love story reveal much about how Americans have thought about their early history.
