Lerner Enterprises is a real estate business founded by Ted Lerner in North Bethesda, Maryland, United States, and operates primarily throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolis. The company is based in Rockville, Maryland and is wholly owned and operated by the Lerner family which consists of Theodore Lerner, his three sons, Mark Lerner, Robert Tanenbaum (son-in-law), and Ed Cohen (son-in-law).
Among the Lerner Enterprises ventures is a partnership in Chelsea Piers, a 30-acre (120,000 m2) sports and entertainment complex on the Hudson River in New York City; the Tysons II commercial development; shopping centers including White Flint Mall and Dulles Town Center; and thousands of homes and apartments, along with numerous office buildings. Lerner also played a role in developing other shopping centers in the Washington area including Landover Mall, Tysons Corner Center and Wheaton Plaza.

History

In 1999, Lerner Enterprises received the Greater Washington Family Business of the Year Award.
In 2006 Lerner Enterprises purchased the Washington Nationals baseball team.
The company is developing Tysons Corner, Virginia's first LEED Platinum building.[1]
