After Columbus' discovery of the Caribbean in 1492.......................Western Europeans fell upon what is now the USA.............and indeed the entire Western hemisphere with a reckless abandon..........1st came the Spanairds, then the French...........then the Dutch........the British were relatively late comers....................this lost colony was set up by English explorer Sir Walter Raleigh.........there is a boat that used to dock in Old Town Alex, Va named after him..........i am talking in the 1980s.............
