Overall..............i would say Willie Mays was the best baseball player of all time...............but Bob Costas said...........that this man was the most important...........i would agree...........just how brave do u have to be to stand at home plate, with a wooden bat.........while thousands of people shout racial slurs at you????????   Pretty brave................and just how good do u have to be to hit a home run in all that?  Pretty freaking good..................and just how good do u have to be to take your team.........the Brooklyn Dodgers.........in your ROOKIE season.............to the World Series...........and only come up one game short of winning.........the NYY won............but it took them 7 games to beat the Brooklyn Dodgers..............with Jackie Robinson.............in his rookie season.......................like wow..........
