And France and England have a long history.......................before WW2......Hitler annexed Austria..........he was by birth an Austrian...............then he invaded Czechoslovakia.............then part of Poland...................at that point both France and England declared war on Germany...........they knew Hitler was not stopping there..............and sure enough.........the German military machine invaded most of western Europe, save for Switzerland and the Iberian penn.........................

Geography is what saved the British...........the English channel......................which they rescued the French high command..........Charles DeGaulle...........who ended up being pres...............
