I will tell u how i count..............man they must be really laughing at us.............ok, the Hope diamond is one...............starting from the quartz from Namibia and working clockwise around the room.............the quartz from Namibia would be 2....................next is the large piece of copper from upper Michigan..................next the cullinan diamond from S. Africa...........it contains blue diamonds as well.......................4....................the meteor from Arizona...............5................the piece of sandstone from France in the corner..................6..............and the gnessis from Sri Lanka..............7................



U know how else i can tell they test us to see if anyone is paying attention?  The SI's gem and mineral collection................in the same room as the Hope diamond........which takes center stage............there are other rocks, minerals and crystals............there is also other blue diamonds..............also, there is a bust of Harry W............a donor to the SI gem collection...............between his bust........and the large quartz from Namibia...................on the wall............facing west...........is a write up about the different gems and rocks, etc............in the room.............it says that there are 6 gems and minerals in the room............but there are 7...............as in seven.........................
