The base comm center was over full..........so they sent us 2542s into admin type positions.............I was a special services clerk................the assistant to a staff sergeant....................Staff Sgt Ken R............who was outstanding.................he was actually the 2nd staff sgt..........the 1st one left right after I came there.................SSgt Ken R................was there for most of my time in special services.........he taught me tons.............I was lucky to have outstanding drill instructors and supervisors..................................I was always sad b/c of my family...........and never even went home the entire 19.5 months I was on Okinawa......................................I was unlucky for all the bad things that have happened but unusually lucky for good teachers...................the 3 drill instructors we had were unusally good............and we all knew it.........the senior emphasized drill...........and was from the infantry, so was Harden............................Sliger was from the air wing........but he was also really good.............in combat training............the staff sergeant was a scout sniper and the corporal........his assistant was really good................
Me and SSgt Ken R.............set up sports tournaments for the commanding general.........he was into sports, like me.................so it was not all that hard.............and he had tons of experience competing in tournaments.............................Cpl Hunt was very good..................in Yuma, AZ.............I remembered he lived somewhere in SW Ohio.............so I looked him up...........he was a good guy...............me and a Abel Israel S...............were on his shift.......
