1st think positives............if I get 5 dollars...........from 10 people............I will receive $50.............positive times positive is easy to see...................now, negative times positive...........which yields a negative............think debt.....................if I owe 5 people 10 dollars...........I will be in debt $50 dollars...........- 50..............................now, think just in processes...................10 times - 5 = - 50.............................- 5 * - 10 = 50.............why? One reason...............if 5 people suddenly forgave my 10 dollar debt in each case.............my overall worth would go up $50..........................if u add negative debt..............u are going further in debt......................look at it from my point, if I am accumulating debt.................as in 5 * - 10 = - 50................I am 5 times in debt $50........which means.............that in those cases.............I am down $50....................if I am taking away debt......from my viewpoint...........I am going in the positive direction........................so - 5 * - 10 = 50..........could be seen as 5 debts of $50 be forgiven................which means a sudden increase of $50...............adding debt or taking out debt...........taking out debt has an overall positive debt.........I am erasing negatives..........from my point of view they are being taken away...........I didn't look at these examples.................ask the people watching my net sessions.........but as everyone lies these days......
How u look at things matters................
We can represent "removes" by a negative number and figure out the answer by multiplying. This is an illustration of a negative times a negative resulting in a positive. If one thinks of multiplication as grouping, then we have made a positive group by taking away a negative number twelve times.
