I.E............to map out the best possible move........................early in the game.............moves are limited...................but statistically..........they become very limited at the end game........when there are few pieces on the board..................and there is usually a best play.............and def. a better play if u make a blunder...............................so it stands to reason............that if u played a very good move.......after very good move.................and maybe a perfect move.....................that per stats.......your percentage chances of winning would always be better than your opponents........

Now...........whether that is true or not.......is imp............but I bet the computer scientists at IBM were trying to find out if it was really possible to master chess mathematically.........
