Yet another reason could have been.................was that the computer scientists were finally vindicated..........after all they made the claim that a computer could rival a human...........................b/c they did win the 2nd time..............................so after proving their point.............they gave it a rest...........also in the way some of these books are worded.............The Perfect Bet............The Signal and the Noise.........there is a phrase I saw several times..............."it fails, and fails badly".....................after all if u are doing something no one has done for the 1st time............and making claims...........and that thing fails badly...........u are risking not only embarrassment.........but maybe your reputation.........a company like IBM..............if Garry K........has crushed the computer........6 - 0...........it would not only have been humiliating...............but kinda like.......bad for business.........IBM is a business..............so I think they poisoned Kasparov................b/c a person who is really pissed off will not play as well........increasing Deep Blue or my father...........whoever or whatever or whatever combo he was playing against..............would not fail badly.........
IF competition............was their main priority........................logically speaking...................a 3rd meeting would have been in order...........Garry K.........won the 1st round.............Deep Blue the 2nd time.............which means over all that they were tied........
