Paintings line the wall at where the students from G town serve food to the homeless on Saturdays.........1971...i was born that year.......an article on the wall, Ansel Adams.....the photographer......art gallery so and so........he was killed were the West gallery of art now stands.......Lost Symbol is smack in our faces....canals, railroads............transportation....the lifeblood of America, Panama Canal...........we built it, Americans, the interstate system.........trucks.............our secret of success, not really a secret, just logical........that we need bridges, canals, airports...............the best in the world, our FAA, airline business......more flights than anyone,,,,our true life blood, our transportation system........frequent flyer miles.......it as an AMERICAN who made the 1st flight...................where were they from?......Ohio...Chesapeake and Ohio canal....C and O....g town, to the DC mall, to the director of the SI..............my dad..............DC!!!!
President James A. Garfield was not murdered in the West Building of the National Gallery of Art, but rather at the Baltimore and Potomac Railroad Station, which was located on the site of the current National Gallery's West Building. The assassination attempt occurred on July 2, 1881, and Garfield died from his injuries on September 19, 1881.
