The inuit try and get a whale,,,,,,,,,,,which could feed a whole village for a year...........Russians did the same..............Siberians...........Northern Japanese..........Koreans...........Chinese...........etc...............Boston,,,,,,,,,,,,Nantucket...................Herman Melville's "Moby Dick" is about New England's whaling industry................



Building ships for exploration is not the only reason humans make them............i think they started as fisherman............it is hard to stand in the surf and get a ton of fish...........and as our ancestors got better at boat building, they got braver,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and took to deeper parts of the sea..........
