It was in 1780......................it was actually a combined force of Shawnee, British and Candian troops which attacked the American fort................Stephen and Abraham's father was Issac Ruddell............who was a major in the US Army...............the combined force massacred the fort..........took 6 prisoners.............and brought them to Ft. Detroit............a British Army post......of course, now Detroit, MI.....................
