Masquerade Sugar Ball Brings Sugar Daddies, Babies Together at Last
Billed as a 'night of fantastical sugar escapism', a masquerade ball for sugar daddies and sugar babies will be held in New York City on October 25, 2010.
The event will be the first public gathering of its kind, say officials at SeekingArrangement.com, a ‘sugar daddy dating’ website recently profiled in Vanity Fair.
The site has teamed up with New York City party planner Alan Action to host the event, which will be held at Epoca, a restaurant lounge in the heart of Mid Town Manhattan, just steps away from the Empire State building.
Sugar daddy relationships have exploded since the economic downturn, as reported by ABC’s ‘20/20’ and the New York Times.
New York City's 'sugar daddy phenomena' is the focus of a new study that has been commissioned by the George Washington University. The two researchers who conducted the study, Sam Schall and Elizabeth Nistico, will present their findings this Friday in Washington, DC.
Organizers of the upcoming sugar masquerade say that the privacy concerns of daddies and babies have been carefully considered. “With masquerade masks provided for all attendees, the matter of discretion has been addressed in a natural, smart, and sexy way”, say party organizers.
Party organizers say that the most frequently asked question about the event so far has been whether or not masks will be mandatory, to which they answer "no".
Tickets for the event are being sold online and at the door.
