Len B..............was supposedly more popular............as some people put it........they were "Biased"...........using his last name as a pun..................but he was also a threat to Larry Bird and Kevin McHale............the White players on the Boston Celtics...........
Lefty Drisell..........the coach of the U. of Maryland...........told Len B to sit down one day at practice............b/c he was so good he was no one could stop him in practice.........he just dominated..........................they fired Lefty D from Maryland..........he ended up at JMU..........I even saw him in the dining hall one day..........
Most notable was the death of highly touted Len Bias. Bias died less than two days after being selected second overall by the defending champion Boston Celtics. His death was ruled an overdose that resulted from the abuse of the drug cocaine.
