So complex?.....................the reason......Rob M...........and the US gov gave.......when they instituted a draft.............and had .........at one point.........500, 000 troops in Vietnam...........that the reason why they were there...........was to stop the spread of communism................communism is bad.........better red than dead.............draft evasion..........McCarthyism................that whole era..........

So what was so complex about stopping the spread of communism??  That is as basic in political science as you are going to get........
