A heated exchange erupted in the House of Commons after a brutal knife attack in North Belfast left a man seriously injured. MPs praised the brave bystanders who intervened to stop the attacker, while demanding answers on immigration enforcement, public safety and community cohesion. Northern Ireland Secretary Hilary Benn described the incident as a "horrific and brutal attack" and urged calm as police continue their investigation. The debate quickly widened into a fierce argument over deportation, migration policy and the wider impact on public trust following one of the most shocking violent incidents seen in Belfast in recent years.
