How did I arrive at that conclusion?? As I have posted a ton of times before.............2i........is just from the reg Cartesian plane.................but the imaginary dimension being the 3rd d..........usually they use the z axis for the 3rd d.........My interpretation of the square root of - 1..............(as in how would u compute the square root of - 1).............from the regular Cartesian plane........................put another axis perpendicular to the other two.......positive i...........above the paper.....- i.......below the paper......
By doing that..............several things immediately jump out at me..........and compute 2 to the i.......from 2............2, 0 on the reg C plane.....................the distance from 2, 0 to - 1, 0.........is 3........one up for i......into the 3rd d..................u can just slice it................I didn't feel like drawing the z axis...........sometimes put at an oblique angle to the other two............your computer screen is 2 d.........so just imagine it up to the 3rd d...................for one thing.....that is another 2, 3............2d to 3d.........................and using i as the vertical side.............gives u the square root of 8 as the hyp.............I used that as the value of what 2^i could be...............its magnitude......
