Most of combat training was at Camp Geiger............but we kept our gear.....luggage in Lejeune.........a bigger base.........I remember my grandfather telling me he was Gen Geiger's personal sec.......on Guam in WW2.......I passed combat training.........and was given MOS school..........to be a 2542.........communication center operator..........the school for that was in California......I graduated 1st place in my class..........tying a fellow Marine
