After the 1st supposed torpedo strike against the American destroyer......the USA bombed North Vietnam.......Pres Johnson got Congress to approve military action....later they found out that the sonar people had made it up........it was all a lie.....even the later attacks.....although McNamera said that the 2nd supposed North Vietnamese torpedo attack was real........how do we know??

Furthermore........even if it had been identified as North Vietnamese torpedo does not mean that North Vietnam hit us...............the French...........who fought against the Vietnamese in the 1950s........gave the Americans the idea of us helping them.....but using our planes...but putting the French flag on it....how do we know.....that the USA didn't kidnap a North Vietnamese submarine.....or ship....hit one of our own Navy ships.....in an effort to escalate our involvement??

Our response......bombing North Vietnam......escalated things.....a resolution from Congress.....increased our involvement.....little by little we were sinking deeper into war....a psychological effect.................i bet they made the 2nd one up as well.............confusion.....chaos..........all over the news.................they were dragging the American people into their planned war...............by the media......psychologically.....
