My freshman year..................teacher......a Black  man taught us................i still remember........that most of the weather patterns.......the usual stuff........disregarding hurricanes, tropical storms....tornadoes...........etc.............come from Western Canada or Alaska.......and through the Mid West........to reach us in the East Coast.......which is why the SW of the USA is a desert......it is too far South of the usual course of the weather pattern............they could poison us all........simply poison the clouds......thereby poisoning the crops in the Midwest........starve us to death.......the Earth is only so big.........7 Billion of us...........supposedly..
