It was recon on the Indians of the West..................to know how many there were........where they are.........how they relate to one another..........so they could pit one tribe against another.........more dead that way.........."The Indian problem".............all this land.........the US gov wanted but the people on it refused to move..............so they made them move..........or killed them........so they would no longer be on it.....

They KNEW the Indians did not have any immunity to small pox...........which Europeans did have........they had small pox outbreaks in Europe......but not in the Americas..........so they gave "friendship" blankets.........during the winter....................to keep Indian women and kids warm........but they laced them with small pox...........................and killed whole villages like that...........................DO U STILL THINK THAT THIS IS GREAT COUNTRY?!?!?!!?!?
