When Stephen Ruddell was born about 1725, in Nottingham Township, Chester, Pennsylvania, British Colonial America, his father, John Ruddell Sr, was 11723 and his mother, Mary Cook, was 28. He married Mary Byrd on 20 October 1753, in Chester, Pennsylvania, United States. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 2 daughters. He died in August 1800, in Woodford, Kentucky, United States, at the age of 76
