 Conflict of interests to me.  I am not saying these people are good.  The trial(s) should be in a neutral location, due process, fair and speedy trial.  Not a military base of the invader, seems underhanded.  A lot of bad stuff is happening within the USA as well.  A lot of our leaders have done bad things, i am still convinced that many of our elections are fixed.

In October 2005, Saddam Hussein's trial was physically held in a well-protected courtroom within the Green Zone in Baghdad, Iraq. 
More specifically, the courtroom was located in the Camp Union compound, which was situated within the fortified Green Zone. The building used for the tribunal was a former Ba'th Party headquarters that was heavily guarded and segregated from the rest of the camp by high concrete fencing and barbed wire

October 19, 2005 - Hussein’s trial begins in Baghdad. He and seven other co-defendants appear before Chief Judge Rizgar Amin and plead not guilty to the torture and murder of Iraqi citizens in Dujail in 1982.

October 20, 2005 - The lawyer for Bandar, Saadoun al-Janabi, is kidnapped and murdered one day after he appears in court for the opening of the trial.
