He was well liked in his community. Another of Bruce's family owned a bank, like 7 stories, he gave us a tour. I was like 15 or so then, me and Jess got caught in the middle of one of the 10k lakes, in a violent thunderstorm, in a row boat, i made a bee line for the shore. Joan said she felt better when she saw it was me rowing, i was a responsible kid, well as a teenager, kinda of a hoodlum younger, well, i was sweet, just a bit rambuncous.
It is nice to we have nice family members. Bruce bragged about him, that he was a good person. I could tell. The log cabin lake house was nice. He was in the Army, like Bruce, different war, went into Dachau.
Mr. Williams was a big inspiration in my life. I don't think I would have made it through Central with out his guidance. He was so willing to listen. When I had to change a class or just needed to sit for a while. He always had an open door policy. You will be deeply missed Mr. Williams. Condolences to his children and grandchildren.

Lyle and I were colleagues and fellow counselors in St. Louis Park for some thirty years. We often shared the same counselees, and when they came to the Senior Hi from the Junior Hi, they would often call me Mr. Williams. I never corrected them because I considered it such an honor! Jane and I are currently at our Winter home in Florida, so will miss Lyle's Memorial Service. Wish we could be there to share stories of a wonderful friendship and a most talented gentleman. May God Bless You--his family and friends.

Lyle was a beautiful example of grace. He carried God's love like a blazing torch. We loved him.

I will always remember my Uncle Lyle as a kind and thoughtful man. He was a true friend and good brother to my father. He was a steadfast and helpful presence for me and my family when we lost my brother Paul.
